    Looking beyond SEPA

    SEPA affects everyone. Sooner or later, all banks will be exposed to the globalisation of payments. Barriers to entry in domestic markets are eroding fast and new competition is emerging, often from non-traditional sources. Banks must establish sufficient scope and scale to remain competitive while collaborating to establish geographic reach throughout the SEPA and beyond. Meeting the many challenges of the liberalised payments environment is not easy, but it is easier with expert help.

    At Sibos 2007, VocaLink presented a suite of products that will help banks prosper in this new order. As well as our unique euro services we demonstrated services that enable banks to reduce costs and develop new business lines to meet emerging customer needs and changing lifestyles. These include, real-time payments, international card processing, and retail payment services that drive the uptake of self-service banking.
