September 2007 take home pay index report
5 September 2007 – The VocaLink take home pay index in August shows no increase on July’s figure. This, combined with the recent announcement that mortgage payments are taking a higher proportion of take home pay will have a negative impact on the housing market and consumer spending.

1 August 2007 – The VocaLink take home pay index shows that growth in take home pay has risen to 3.6 per cent in July from 3.3 per cent in June

July 2007 take home pay index report
4 July 2007: The VocaLink take home pay index shows that growth in take home pay has risen to 3.3 per cent in June from 3.0 per cent in May. This is the reversal of a trend which has seen a continued fall in the index since February 2007.

8 May 2007 – The Voca take home pay index shows that growth in take home pay eased to 3.6 per cent in April from 3.7 per cent in March. This downward trend shows that the expected strong pay increases in the January wage round have so far failed to materialise.

3 April 2007 - The Voca take home pay index shows that growth in take home pay eased to 3.7 per cent in March compared to 4.2 per cent in February.

March 2007 take home pay index report
7 March 2007 - The Voca take home pay index shows that growth in take home pay has risen to 4.2 per cent in February (January: 3.3 per cent). This upward trend continues on the back of salary increases negotiated in the current pay settlement round.

February 2007 take home pay index report
6 February 2007 - The Voca take home pay index shows that growth in take home pay has increased to 3.3 per cent in January (December: 2.9 per cent). The index has been boosted in part by Christmas bonuses and increased use of temporary workers, and suggests that the latest round of pay negotiation may already be having an effect.

January 2007 take home pay index report
5 January 2007 - The Voca take home pay index shows that UK disposable incomes are being squeezed by slackening pay growth against a background of rising inflation.
