The Forces Children's Trust (FCT) is a unique
charity devoted to helping dependant children whose mother or
father has died, or has been seriously injured, whilst serving as a
member of the British Armed Forces.
The British public have recently supported Bonita during
her 'VocaLink North Pole Challenge' to help her
raise money for the charity. With donations of 5p to the
Forces Children's Trust every time someone topped up their
mobile phone at an ATM, Bonita succeeded in raising
£10,000.
Bonita set off on the 31st of March on a trip
that only a select few make it to each year. Skiing and sledging
across the polar ice cap for eight hours per day, she
reached the Pole on the 13th of April.
