VocaLink Corporate Social Responsibility
Our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility is informed by
our values and our business objectives.
We aspire to create a positive impact on society through our
corporate presence and individual contributions. CSR is not purely
about charitable giving; good CSR should provide benefits to the
business and be of long term strategic value. An active CSR
strategy aligns VocaLink with industry best practice, making us a
natural business partner.
We are a member of Business in the Community (BITC) as we strive
to embed a sustainable way of working throughout our business,
ultimately to improve company performance. BITC's Corporate
Responsibility (CR) Index allows us to focus and measure our
performance. We have achieved Gold status, this fantastic
result puts VocaLink's sustainable business practice on a par with
some of the top FTSE 100 companies in the UK. Download

"Gold accreditation signifies that a company
displays a high level of transparency by publicly reporting CR
performance and risk management process is inclusive of
non-financial risks". Business in The
Community 2012.
- Our People: Leading edge technology may be at
the heart of our business, but people remain our most vital asset.
We value our staff and this shows in the results of our staff
satisfaction scores.
- Our Environment: By putting our energy into
additional monitoring, reporting and better capacity planning we
have reduced our operational energy use by 17.5% in one year.
- Our Communities: Being at the heart of the
payments community comes with a responsibility to provide financial
inclusion and improve accessibility to payments. So far, we have
engaged with the Third Sector to create a need for responsible
payments products in the community. Our research into charitable
giving through mobile payments has been covered by the Telegraph
and Guardian in the UK as well as receiving international
coverage.
- Our Marketplace: Responsible procurement is a
cornerstone of our business strategy. Our suppliers are required to
demonstrate the same commitment to sustainability - environmental,
social and economic - as we do.
Our CSR programme is sponsored at Board and Executive level and
led by a structured CSR Board:
|
Mark Chapman, Director of Commercial Marketing
at VocaLink and Chairman of CSR, runs VocaLink's CSR programme.
Mark recently shared his innovative ideas on how CSR can drive
measurable client engagement and advocacy at the London Net
Promoter Conference 2011 in June.
