Prior to joining VocaLink, David was President of Western Union
with responsibility for Business Development and Innovation. At
Western Union, David oversaw the development of strategy for
e-Commerce, Mobile Payments, Business Payments and Pre-Paid Cards.
Previously he spent six years at First Data Corporation (FDC), most
recently as Executive Vice President managing all of FDC's
activities outside of the US, including merchant acquiring,
merchant transaction processing, issuer processing and ATM network
solutions business units. David has also served in executive roles
with several major international corporations, including IBM,
General Electric and American Management Systems.
David currently serves on the Board of WorldPay, Europe's
largest acquirer and e-Commerce specialist. David has a master's
degree in law from Oxford University and is fluent in German and
French.
He is responsible for the provision of legal and company
secretarial services and is counsel to the group
board, chairman and chief executive officer. Tim is
also group company secretary for the holding company and
intermediate subsidiary companies. His department is responsible
for the management and provision of all legal and related advice
and assistance across all business divisions.
Tim has been instrumental in the development of the VocaLink
core scheme legal frameworks and the development of the company's
corporate governance structure. Tim was called to the Bar in 1997
and has over 10 years experience as in-house counsel working in
diverse industries.
His portfolio of projects and programmes is extensive but they
have a common theme - delivering high quality products in a
competitive and challenging financial services environment.
Ian has more than 20 years management experience within the UK
payments and consultancy industry, principally at Barclaycard's
Merchant Acquiring business where he was Head of Information
Systems.
Claire joined VocaLink from Eversheds LLP where she was Finance
Director (FD). In this role she was instrumental in turning around
the financial operations of the company and running the IT,
facilities and procurement functions. She also introduced a new
global account management system that helped the company to win the
FT Innovation Award for its billing and fee offering in 2008.
Prior to Eversheds, Claire worked as the acting FD of LCH
Clearnet, and before this as the first FD of the IT and Operations
division at Barclays Bank. In this position she set up the
division's financial strategy and led large outsourcing and cost
reduction initiatives across the business. Claire also held several
finance director divisional roles at British Telecommunications as
well as holding various board positions in BT's international joint
ventures.
Working in partnership with executive and senior management, her
primary aim is to identify, recommend and implement all aspects of
human resources and operational development strategy.
Debbie has over 15 years experience with the organisation; a
multi-site company that has transformed from an operational
not-for-profit organisation into a commercial and competitive
player in the international payments industry.
Paul's previous role was at Barclays Bank, where he was
responsible for M&A and Asset Disposals for
Barclaycard globally for 4 years.
Prior to this Paul spent 12 years at
RBS Group where he held a variety of senior roles
across Group Corporate Development, Internet banking
and E-commerce, Global Transaction Services
and WorldPay.
Marc has more than 20 years experience in both the Cards and
Payments Industry, moving from sales, marketing and business
development positions through to general management. Marc's
experience includes over 17 years with the international provider
of payment systems, ACI, encompassing both EMEA and America's
responsibilities.
Most recently he was Managing Director of EMEA for Clear2Pay,
leading the company through growth securing contracts with
organisations such as Standard Bank SA, PBS, Santander and CEDICAM
in France.
