Mobile Phone Top-Up
New channels for pre-pay users
Approximately 50% of UK mobile phones are prepaid and users need
to purchase regular top-ups.
We provide the infrastructure for banks, independent ATM
operators and mobile phone companies to offer mobile phone top-ups
at ATMs.
It's a valuable source of revenue to all companies who are
involved in the value chain.
And consumers like the proposition. From a standing start in
2003 the service now provides more than 7% of top-ups. It
attracts a large number of regular users who tend to use the ATM
for other services. They are also receptive to ATM-based
advertising.
And it can be a useful differentiator for online banking. We're
currently developing a white label online top-up service to be
deployed by banks within their online banking systems.
