Travers was awarded this honour for his technical architectural vision which resulted in the completion of the Access Programme. IPMA International Project Management Excellence Award 2007

VocaLink has been honoured as a finalist at the prestigious IPMA awards 2007 for the VocaLink Payment Platform. This year the finalists came from two continents, 4 countries and 6 companies. In PMA award’s history, VocaLink are the first ever British finalist and received international recognition for its 'top league' project management. A video describing the success of the project was played at the gala ceremony.

These awards are bestowed only to a select group of outstanding organisations.

The VocaLink payment platform has won a FST award for 'Best Straight-Through-Processing (STP) deployment' capability. The VocaLink SEPA-ready platform can handle 12,000 transactions per second using STP to speed up the payment cycle. VocaLink was also shortlisted for 'IT Team of the Year'.

The new VocaLink payment platform scooped the ifs/Capgemini Financial Innovation award 2006 for the Most Innovative Application of Technology and also the highest awards accolade for Overall Excellence. The VocaLink Payment Platform was recognised as a modern, future-proof and groundbreaking system fundamental to the whole banking infrastructure. Richard Lowrie, Chairman of Judges called it 'a critical service for financial institutions and an enormous project to undertake whilst business continued as usual… it provides a platform for the future (known as SEPA) and as yet unknown.
