Take Home Pay Index shows wage growth plummet in the manufacturing sector
London, 6 August 2009 - The VocaLink Take Home Pay Index remained unchanged in July at 1.3% following June’s reported first rise in wage growth for six months. However, the ongoing problems in the manufacturing sector were reflected in the dramatic fall in pay growth from 1.3% in June to just
0.5% in July. In contrast, the service sector continued to show a gradual improvement increasing by 0.7% to 1.9%.
Take home pay shows growth for the first time in six months
London, 8 July 2009 - The VocaLink Take Home Pay Index, released today, shows the first signs of growth in pay levels after six back-to-back months of decline. Having dropped to an all-time low level of 1.1% in May down from 4.3% in June last year, the latest figures in pay growth show a slight improvement to 1.3%. This upward trend was mirrored in the services and manufacturing sectors which both showed a slight increase.

London, 4 February 2009: The VocaLink take home pay index shows that wage growth in the manufacturing sector has plummeted to its lowest level since September 2004. As a result, overall take home pay has fallen to 2.7% in January, its weakest growth since November 2006.
