ACT Annual Cash Management Conference

VocaLink exhibited at the ACT Annual Cash Management
Conference. This two day conference centred around effective
cash and liquidity management. The focus was on practical
tools and techniques to enhance this core part of the treasury
function, from gaining greater visibility over cash, to
streamlining processes through the use of the latest
technology.
On the VocaLink stand our experts discussed:
- How corporate treasurers can enhance cash management processes
by using the Faster Payments Service (FPS) which is built on our
real-time payments platform. FPS launched in May 2008 and has
processed over 1 billion payments. Since then financial
institutions have been upgrading their operations to handle
irrevocable, instantaneous financial transfers. It's progressively
being adopted as the new payments standard that is used by the UK's
leading financial institutions.
- How corporates can ensure they are exploiting the full
potential of Bacs. We will be there to assist in answering any
queries relating to operations and any strategic questions that
your organisation may have.
- How you can set up and manage your own virtual bank accounts,
removing up to 50% of administrative overhead when reconciling your
bank statements and giving you real time account visibility and
control.
The conference included a highly informative mix of panel
discussions, presentations and real life case studies from the
