Q. What License type do I need?
A. This depends on what it is you want to do with the EISCD database. The options available are Single Site Licence, Distributor Licence and Master Distributor Licence. Please see below for descriptions of what the licence types mean.

Q.What is a Single Site License type?
A. This licence allows the subscriber to use the EISCD throughout their organisation. It can be loaded on one or more computers or a server. The data cannot be provided, under any circumstance, to any other organisation.

Q. What is a Distributor License type?
A. This licence allows the subscriber to use the data in-house and to sell it to third parties. Third parties cannot sell the data to others and are effectively licensed as single site subscribers.


Q. What is a Master Distributor License type?
A. This licence allows the subscriber to use the data in-house and to sell it to third parties. Third parties can sell the data to others and effectively are licenced as distributor subscribers.

 

Q. What customer type am I?
A. In order to register for the EISCD we need to know the type of business you require the information for as this may affect your licence type. The various options are:

Member bank

  • Agency Bank
  • Bacs Approved Solution Supplier
  • Other
     

Q. What is a Bacs Approved Solution Supplier? -
A Bacs Approved Solution Supplier is a software supplier who have Bacs approved Bacstel-IP and/or Secure-IP interfaces.

Q. What is a Member Bank? A. Member Bank is a bank or building society that is a member of the Bacs and/or Faster Payments Services.

Q. What is an Agency Bank?
A. An Agency Bank is any bank or building society that is not a member of Bacs but is posnsored to participate in the Bacs and faster Payments Services by a Member bank.

Q. How do I cancel my E/ISCD service?

Q. How do I amend my account details?

Q. Who can I speak about EISCD?

Q. What is a Bacs Service User (SU) number?
A. A Service User Number is the unique six digit number allocated to organisations authorised to use the Bacs service

Q. What is a security hint?
A
. The security hint is required when you complete your personal registration on the Payments Services Website. The Payments Services Website is where you log on to download the EISCD. We will prompt you to complete your personal registration process via an email once you have completed this registration process. The security hint is also used as a prompt to your security information in the event that you forget your password.

Q. What is Security information?
A
. The security information is personal to you and you are required to provide it when you first register for the EISCD. Having this in place ensures limits fraudulent activity.

Q. Why do you need a second contact?
A. A second contact is required to ensure that in the event the main contact is not available a second person can access the EISCD. The two individuals will be set up as "contacts" on the payment services website so they can log on to download the EISCD and register other contacts to access the EISCD.


Q. What is a PDF document?
A. PDF stands for Portable Document Format . PDF's have a lot of capabilities when it comes to formatting and file layout that makes it very useful for creating print images. You can not edit pdf file without special editor.

Q. How do I upload a PDF?

A. See steps 1-5 below.

1. Click the browse button
2. Navigate to the location of the pdf file you wish to upload
3. Click open
4. Click the upload button
5. This may take a few moments. When your document has been successfully upload you will see the following message:
Successfully uploaded: thenameofyourpdf.pdf

Q. How do I convert a document into a PDF document?
A. Please ask your technical helpdesk for support. Alternatively you can find help here http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/convert-documents-between-pdf-and-word-HA001168333.aspx

Q. What is a Direct Debit mandate?
A. A Direct Debit mandate is the form you complete to set up a Direct Debit agreement, giving a company authority to take money from your bank account.

Q. Telephone Number?
A. Please provide an international telephone number in the following format + (country code)(local prefix) xxx xxx xxx E.g. +44 (0)207 007 700.


If you are in the UK could you please use above format.

Q. Update current details?
A. For existing customers, in order to update your previous EISCD information provided as part of your registration process please select update current details. Your previous details will not be displayed for security reasons. Please fill out any mandatory fields and submit the form. For non-mandatory fields only fill in the details that you wish to change. You will get an email confirmation to the registration email once the form has been received.

Q. Add new contact?
A. We require that you have a minimum of 2 contact details provided at all times. This ensures that in the event the main contact is not available a second person can access the EISCD. This option allows you to add a new contact that is not currently registered to access the EISCD for your organisation. Your previous details will not be displayed for security reasons. Please fill out any mandatory fields and submit the form. For non-mandatory fields only fill in the details that you wish to change. You will get an email confirmation to the registration email once the form has been received.

Q. Delete a contact?
A. This option allows you to delete a contact that is currently registered to download the EISCD for your organisation. Please note that you must always have a minimum of 2 contacts registered so before you delete a contact please ensure you have a minimum of 2 contacts registered with us. If you do not then please add a new contact before deleting an existing one. Your previous details will not be displayed for security reasons. Please fill out any mandatory fields and submit the form. For non-mandatory fields only fill in the details that you wish to change. You will get an email confirmation to the registration email once the form has been received.

Q. Additional Comments?
A. This field can be used to enter any additional details that explain why you are amending contact details.


Q. Purchase order number?
A. If you select 'purchase order' you must provide a Purchase Order number that has enough funds to cover you for 12 months or four quarters worth of payments.

Q. Upload a scan of your purchase order form as a PDF file here?
A. Please use this upload tool to provide a scan of your purchase order form. Simply click on the "Browse" button and navigate to the directory on your computer to where the scan is stored and select. Then click on "Open" in the pop up window. The field next to the "Browse" button will now be populated with the link to your document. Please click on the "Upload" button to upload the document. The PO will be stored on the server until sent to the PEMs team for processing when you submit the EISCD electronic form.
