Vocalink designed and built the real-time payments infrastructure that powers Faster Payments in 2008. Today we operate and maintain the service on behalf of Pay.UK.
Vocalink runs, maintains and services the technical infrastructure that processes over 4.4 billion automated batch payments annually on behalf of Bacs. On a peak day, 99.3 million transactions were securely processed through our data centres.
Vocalink provides transaction switching, clearing and settlement for the UK LINK scheme — the world’s busiest ATM network comprising over 60,000 ATMs.
Vocalink developed and implemented an image-based cheque clearing system in partnership with The Cheque and Credit Clearing company, part of Pay.UK.

Vocalink is a strategic partner of Sweden's automated clearing house, Bankgirot. This marks the first time a national payments system has outsourced part of its payments processing to a non-domestic player.
