Faster Payments training

At the start of your Faster Payments project, the Faster Payment Scheme Limited (FPSL) provides you with access to multiple documents. These include descriptions of the Faster Payments Service (FPS), requirements for your solution and service level agreements (SLAs).

At Vocalink, we know it can be a challenge to understand and analyse all of this material, especially if you have no prior experience. That’s why we’ve developed our Faster Payments Training Programme.

HOW WILL THIS TRAINING HELP YOU?

The training programme is run by our specialist team of Subject Matter Experts who will give you the tools and guidance to help you respond to the Faster Payments requirements more quickly, thereby reducing both your planning and overall time to market.

This training will:

  • Provide you with a clear understanding of the requirements, so that you can build the most appropriate solution for your business.
  • Provide you with a comprehensive overview of all the documentation, explaining when and where you’ll need them.
  • Work with you to plan new work streams within your project in order to help manage your project more effectively.
  • Train your team up to a greater level of understanding of all Faster Payments requirements.
  • Support you in responding to the Member Assurance Questionnaire (MAQ) issued by the Scheme.

TRAINING MODULES

MODULE 1: Introduction to FPS Membership Requirements

MODULE 2: Planning, Legal and Regulatory

MODULE 3: Security/Availability Requirements and Member Assurance Questionnaire

MODULE 4: Operational Requirements

MODULE 5: Technical Requirements and Certification Testing

We also provide additional information behind the slides and collateral presented during each module. For example, the documents that have been referenced, additional information and frequently asked questions and answers are detailed in this pack. The highlights point you to the relevant sections in the scheme documentation.

It’s intended to help action everything you have learned during your training session, reducing the time spent looking for information during the requirements analysis phase.

Finally, four weeks after the end of the training, we check in on your team to review progress and answer any questions that may have arisen, as well as determine whether you need any additional support.
