This report presents the findings of an independent market research programme that investigated the demand for Immediate Payments from both consumers and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This research, focussed on mobile phone-initiated transactions, immediate mobile payments.
The research is the largest known and most comprehensive international consumer study conducted on immediate mobile payments – interviewing more than 10,000 people. The international research covered North America, Europe and Asia.
The five countries where the research took place were: Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Malaysia and USA. In each of the five countries, a quantitative survey was carried out via an online panel of 2,000 adults holding bank accounts and mobile phones.
The data was weighted to be fully representative of the profile of the adult population in each country in terms of gender, age, income and geographic region.
